Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These terms apply to the Ersha mobile app and the Ersha website (together, "Ersha"), made by Ersha ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Ersha, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Ersha.
What Ersha is
Ersha helps farmers manage farms and fields, record seasons, read soil sensors, check the weather, diagnose crop disease from photos, get crop insights, and look up crops, diseases, and pests. Some features are free, some come with owning an Ersha soil sensor, and some need an Ersha Pro subscription. What each plan includes is shown on the website's subscription page and may change over time.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping access to your account (your Apple ID, Google account or email address) secure, and for what is done with it.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address current.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. Ersha is not directed at children.
- You can delete your account at any time; see Delete account & data.
Ersha Pro and payments
- Ersha Pro is bought one month at a time on the Ersha website. The price, in Ethiopian birr, is shown before you pay. A lower price for an account's first month may be offered.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Chapa. Your payment details are entered on its page and are subject to its terms.
- Pro starts once your payment is confirmed and lasts for the period shown at checkout. It does not renew automatically: nothing is charged again unless you subscribe again. We may keep Pro on for a few days after a period ends as a courtesy; that is not a paid entitlement.
- All payments are final and non-refundable. See our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices or what a plan includes. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
Advice is guidance, not a guarantee
Disease diagnoses and crop insights are produced by artificial intelligence (AI) and can be wrong. Weather forecasts and warnings, soil readings, and calculator results are estimates. The reference library is general information, not advice for your specific farm.
Use Ersha as one input among others. Before acting, especially before buying or applying a pesticide, fungicide, or fertilizer, check with a qualified agronomist, extension worker, or agro-dealer, and always follow the product label and local regulations. You are responsible for the decisions you make on your farm.
Your content
The farm records, readings, and photos you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display them to provide Ersha to you, and to use disease-matched photos without your account information to improve diagnoses, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only add content you have the right to share.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law, or use Ersha to harm others;
- try to get around plan limits, usage allowances, or payments, or access another person's account or data;
- copy, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer Ersha or its content, or overload it with automated requests;
- upload content that is unlawful or not yours to share.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for that reason, the payment is not refunded.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Ersha running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or because of network or provider problems. We may add, change, or remove features. If we stop offering Ersha Pro altogether, we will keep it on for any period already paid for, or give you equal time on a replacement plan.
Ownership
Ersha, its design, its reference library, and its software belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Ersha; they do not transfer any ownership.
Limitation of liability
Ersha is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for crop losses, lost income, or other indirect or consequential damage arising from using Ersha or relying on its information, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. We will try to resolve any dispute with you informally first; please contact us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Ersha after a change means you accept the updated terms.
